Regional airline IndiaOne Air will continue one of its flights from the Sonari airport. The flight operator has earlier announced that its air services from Jamshedpur to Kolkata will be suspended from January 31, while flights from Jamshedpur to Bhubaneswar will be discontinued from February 28.

But the intervention of the Union Civil Aviation Ministry and Tata Steel Group, the Regional Airline IndiaOne Air decided to continue operation.

According to information shared earlier by the airline with its employees via email, the reason behind the earlier decision to suspend the flight was connected with Centre’s Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS).

The validity of the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS) was nearing expiry due to the absence of an extension and thereby loss of financial assistance by Tata Group and Union Aviation Ministry.

Now, the Civil Aviation Ministry has reportedly extended RCS enabling the Regional airline IndiaOne Air to continue its flight from Janshedpur to Kolkata and Bhubneshwar.

The continuity of flights is bound to help passengers and business communities, for whom these routes serve as vital air links connecting Jamshedpur with major eastern Indian cities.
