Getalsud Dam Floating Solar photovoltaic (PV) Plant, a 100MW solar power project, is ready to become operational soon.

“ We expect to start storing and supplying green energy from this floating solar plant in April”, said a senior official linked with the project.

The credit for this 100 MW solar power plant, spread over 172 hectares, goes to BJP Ranchi MP and Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, who walked an extra mile to get this project launched.

As per the evaluation, this is the state of Jharkhand’s biggest floating solar power plant. The project, according to GlobalData, who tracks and profiles over 170,000 power plants worldwide, is currently at the final stage of operation. It was developed in a single phase.

The project construction is expected to enter into commercial operation in a couple of months, heralding the generation of green energy from the Getalsud dam.
