Ranchi: National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cyber Peace to collaborate in the areas of Cyber Law, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence (AI) Governance, Digital Forensics, research, capacity building, and community awareness.

The MoU was signed on 26 February 2026 by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Ashok R. Patil and Major Vineet Kumar, Founder of Cyber Peace. The agreement aims to promote academic collaboration, joint research initiatives, training programmes, national conferences, hackathons, cyber moot court competitions, and cyber legal aid initiatives.

Under this partnership, specialised courses will be developed in key areas such as data protection, privacy, cybercrime investigation, AI governance, and emerging technology laws. These courses are designed to be affordable and accessible to all sections of society, ensuring broader outreach and capacity-building in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

A significant component of this collaboration is strengthening the University’s Cyber Legal Aid Clinic. In light of rising cases of cybercrime, the initiative will focus on raising legal awareness, providing guidance, and facilitating access to relevant authorities for victims. Students will also benefit from internship and mentorship opportunities under this partnership.

This collaboration marks an important step towards strengthening digital safety, promoting responsible AI usage, enhancing cyber hygiene awareness, and reinforcing the cyber law ecosystem in India.

Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. (Dr.) Ashok R. Patil stated that the MoU would significantly benefit students by equipping them with advanced knowledge and practical exposure in cyber and AI-related domains. He emphasised that the proposed courses would not only serve students but also professionals across sectors in this technology-driven era.

Addressing the growing challenge of cyber fraud, he noted that technological empowerment and timely awareness are the most effective tools to combat cyber threats. NUSRL and Cyber Peace will work jointly towards achieving these objectives.
