Bhagwan Birsa Biological Park(Jaivik Udyan),Ormanjhi, located along Ranchi-Hazaribagh National Highway-33,15 km from Ranchi town,has acquired new little wild animals.

Among them are :one baby Gaur,two babies of white Deer,2 babies of white peacock,two babies of Gharial(Gavialis gangeticus also known as the Gavial),three babies of Suturmurg and two babies of Lakarbagha.

With arrival of these baby wild animals,the scene at this beautiful zoo in Jharkhand,located in the lap of a beautiful natural surrounding,spread over 104 ha. of mildly undulating topography with natural dry deciduous forest, has changed.

So much so that the water bodies available there show their colourful images in harmony with the nature. In fact,other than these new arrivals,this zoo has some of the important animals found animals including Hippopotamus, Porcupine, White Black Buck, Pelican, Leopard Cat, Indian Bison (Gaur) and so on.
