With the 2029 Assembly elections on the horizon, BJP national president Nitin Nabin has called for a renewed organisational push in Jharkhand, drawing inspiration from the party’s expansion in West Bengal. His message to party workers was clear: electoral ambitions must be backed by sustained grassroots engagement, stronger coordination and a visible presence across the state.

From Panchayats to Parliament

Addressing the BJP Jharkhand State Working Committee meeting in Ranchi on October 24, 2026, Nabin expressed confidence that party workers could make “Mission Jharkhand” a success, as they had strengthened the organisation in Bengal. He urged cadres to expand the party’s reach from panchayats to Parliament and intensify public outreach.

Recalling Jharkhand’s formation during former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s tenure, Nabin described the state as his birthplace and a place where he had spent a significant part of his life. He expressed regret that the BJP was not currently in power and called for a welfare-oriented government under its leadership.

Modi’s Leadership and Opposition Criticism

Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Nabin said his leadership had given new direction to India and enhanced its international standing. He alleged that forces within the country and abroad were attempting to obstruct its progress.

He also accused the Congress of weakening constitutional values through the Emergency and the imposition of President’s Rule in states. Referring to Bihar’s electoral-roll revision exercise, he questioned Congress allegations of irregularities, claiming that party workers had not filed formal objections. These remarks formed part of his political criticism of the Opposition.

A Challenge Beyond Political Slogans

Nabin urged BJP workers to strengthen the organisation and mobilise public support, presenting the next electoral contest as an opportunity to change the state’s political direction.

The Message: Public Trust Is the Real Measure of Success

Organisational strength can create electoral momentum, but lasting political success depends on addressing people’s everyday concerns. As the BJP prepares for its next electoral challenge in Jharkhand, its ambitions will ultimately be tested by the credibility of its promises, the quality of its public engagement and its ability to offer solutions that resonate with the state’s diverse communities. In a democracy, the final mandate belongs to the people.
