In an effort to promote women’s education in the state, Jharkhand government has decided to open colleges for them in districts deprived of women’s colleges.
“The government has decided to open women’s colleges in those districts not having them,” Chief Minister Raghubar Das has reportedly said.
Out of 28 districts in the state, there are no colleges for women in 11 districts – Simdega, Gumla, Lohardaga, Khunti, Koderma, Chatra, Ramgarh, Pakur, Sahibganj, Sareikela- Kharsawan and Latehar, officials have said.
