Banaras Hindu University, which is celebrating its centennial year, proposes to confer the degree of Doctor of Laws (LLD) (honoris causa) to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during its convocation ceremony on February 22.
BHU is organising academic, literary and cultural programmes, as part of its celebration.
The University is honouring Modi, in recognition with his yeoman services as an innovator, reformer and an outstanding leader in public.
