It was the day of jubilation at Delhi Public School Ranchi where eight had qualified in KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana).

These students were: Ayush Kumar, Anirudh Anil Ojha, Nishant Singh Chauhan, Shubham Saha, Animesh Singh Chauhan, Urvashi Dhar, Tiyasha Mitra and Snehan.

The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY),an on-going National Program of Fellowship in Basic Sciences,was initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.Its aim was meant to attract exceptionally highly motivated students for pursuing basic science courses and research career in science.

The objective of the program is to identify students with talent and aptitude for research; help them realize their academic potential; encourage them to take up research careers in Science, and ensure the growth of the best scientific minds for research and development in the country.

Dr. Ram Singh, Principal, DPS Ranchi congratulated the students and said that last year it was 4 students qualified and this year we have 8 students. It was also stated by him that he will provide the children with all the latest techniques and facilities so that we have many more students in this category in the years to come.
