Students of the state government run schools are now linked with a software-E-Vidya Vahini -in Jharkhand.

E-Vidya Vahini is a software developed by school education and Literacy Department and Information Technology and e-governance Department for real time monitoring of government schools.

This software was inaugurated by Chief Minister Raghubar Das in Ranchi on Monday.Jharkhand Education Department Secretary Aradhana Patnaik who was credited to have prepared its plan was present on the occasion.

In Jharkhand, there were nearly 40,000 government schools across the state. As per the E-Vidya Vahini, all these schools will be linked with the software. And as such, School authorities will have to feed in details of admission, attendance of students and teachers and details of mid-day meal consumption. This apart, teachers will also have to feed in marks of students obtained in every test.

The software has been designed specially to improve the quality of education.

“This way, we will be able to assess the schools individually and come up with separate strategies to improve them. Our main aim is to assess and improve the learning level of students,” Patnaik said.
