Responding to retired Col. VK Singh’s letter ,Jharkhand CM Rasghubar Das wants Bihar CM Nitish Kumar to get memorial complex of Lance-Naik Albert Ekka.
Ekka,based in Gumla district in Jharkhand was posthumously awarded India's highest wartime gallantry award, the Param Vir Chakra.In his letter,Col Singh had pointed out that the then Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee had inaugurated a plan to construct memorial complex of Lance-Naik Albert Ekka in 1984.
Against this backdrop,Das has written a letter to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for his ‘cooperation’ toward this end.
Das wants this memorial complex should be built in accordance with provisions of the Vastu-Shilp and maintained nicely.”This re construction work can strengthen relationship between Bihar and Jharkhand’,said the CM
