The state government has decided to dismiss Jharkhand’s former chief minister Arjun Munda’s Advisor,RC Sinha. His dismissal from the service was to be notified soon.

The move of the state government under the President’s rule was the outcome of Sinha’s refusal to quit the post of Advisor to the CM Munda.Eventhough Munda had tendered his resignation before the President’s rule was imposed on January 17,Sinha did not.

Sinha, a retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of 1962 batch from Maharashtra, who was learnt to be patronized by BJP president Nitin Gadkari, was asked to resign. But he reportedly argued that since he was appointed for a term,he can not resign mid way.

However, since his appointment was made by the state cabinet on coterminous basis,he had to resign after Munda’s resignation.said a senior IAS officer defending the government’s decision.”Since he refused to do so,dismissal was the only option left.”
