Chief Minister Raghubar Das inaugurated different consumer services of the Department of Energy and distributed appointment letters to the people at Project Building. Addressing to people he said that every house will get power supply by Diwali this year. Electricity is essential for development and government aims to make Jharkhand a developed state by 2022. He also said that officers who are not working properly will have to bear consequences. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has called upon that when the 75th Independence Day will be celebrated in 2022, there will be no one left homeless, illiterate, unemployed, without treatment or without electricity. Jharkhand is moving forward to fulfill this goal.
The Chief Minister said that simple, convenient, efficient and empowering online services have been started today. Everyone should take training to new technology. This will benefit consumers, eliminate corruption and provide a direct link to people. He said that today is an important day for the power department, 493 manpower has been appointed. Since assuming office in 2014 our government has so far appointed 2000 personnel in the department and 2200 more appointments have to be made. The availability of the manpower will speed up the work of the department. The Chief Minister said that power personnel are being given POS machines through Jharkhand State Co-operative Bank. This gives consumers the ease of bill payments.
The Chief Minister said that the state was far behind in the basic infrastructure of electricity but our government working to improve the situation. Underground caballing is being done in Ranchi and other cities. This will help in providing uninterrupted power supply to the people. By 2021-22, we will develop Jharkhand as a power hub. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for 4000 MW power generation plant. The extension of TVNL is also approved by the government. From this, two plants of 660 MW will be installed. With this, we will be able to sell our electricity to other states as we fulfill our needs.

Launch of services include
Saral an Internet-based monitoring tool has been launched. Real-time monitoring of projects going on under the corporation can be done through the medium. There will be information about transformer repair, maintenance, store inventory etc.
Suvidha will allow users to apply for online electricity connections. Along with this, the facility of loading changes, mistake correction etc. will also be available online.
Saksham training has been introduced for the change in the working style of the department personnel in the changing technological age. The calendar of the whole year has been prepared for skill development. Based on this, the information on current technology will be provided to all personnel. The corporation has its own training center in Kusai Colony. Apart from this, 15 other training centers will be set up in all the power supply zones.
Sashkt integrated complaint redressal and supervision system has been introduced for quick execution of complaints of consumers. Consumer complaints will be registered and resolved through a single window. It can also be used through social media, including Facebook, Twitter. A complaint can also be lodged on toll-free number 1912, 1800-123-8745, 1800-345-6570.
