Tata Steel Limited was conferred with the prestigious MAKE Award 2012 at a ceremony organized in Mumbai today. The Indian Most Admired Knowledge Enterprises (MAKE) award aims to recognize organizations (founded and headquartered in India) for their ability to create shareholder value by transforming new as well as existing enterprise knowledge into superior products/services/ solutions. This year Tata Steel has also been recognized as MAKE winner at Global and Asian level.

Mr. Anand Sen, VP (TQM & KPO), Tata Steel received this honor from Mr. Adi Godrejon behalf of the company.

On winning the prestigious recognition, Sen said, “It gives me immense pleasure to receive this award on behalf of Tata Steel. Tata Steel’s operations are one of the most robust in the global steel industry and we remain committed to the pursuit of challenging targets, safety, environmental protection, continuous improvement, openness and social responsibility in every aspect of our business around the world. This has been possible through the utilization of intellectual capital which exists within Tata Steel group.”

Tata Steel has previously been recognized by the Indian MAKE awards on six accountssince its inception in 2005.
