For the first time,most tribals remained at home and celebrated Sarhul festival by offering prayers and performing rituals while remained indoors.

At Hatma in Ranchi, Adivasis gathered at a ground last night where pahan( priest) performed rituals connected with Puja of the ' Nature'.

Many Adivasis were photographed wearing hand- made leaf masks.The state government led by CM Hemant Soren had appealed to Adivasis to stay at home and celebrate Sarhul at home.

The CM Soren had sanctioned Rs 25 lakh from Contingency fund to fight Coronavirus.
