In the initial phase, the state was dependent on other states for the Covid-19 test for about 20 to 25 days. The state government set up 3 laboratories in the state for testing Covid-19.

The CM said that it is very important to expedite the testing process of Covid-19, and for this, a biosafety level laboratory has been inaugurated in Palamu by the state government today. He said that this laboratory will prove to be a milestone for the people of Palamu and surrounding areas.

The CM informed that a modern Covid-19 test laboratory will be inaugurated soon in Santhal Pargana. “Complete preparation has been done for this”, he said adding that it is the priority of the government to provide better health care facilities to the people of the state.

At present, any kind of negligence can lead to a big challenge in the field of health care. Working with full dedication is required to ensure better health facilities to the people.

Against this backdrop, the CM said that due to the lack of sufficient labs in the state, there is a lot of rush for testing at RIMS etc. But with the increase in labs, people will get test reports in their area and do not have to depend on laboratories in RIMS or elsewhere.

As it is, the facility of TrueNet machine has been made available for immediate testing of Covid-19 in every district of the state, it is learnt.
