Doctors associated with three countrywide organisations have appealed to the state government led by Chief Minister Hemant Soren to keep contact, discussion, and interface alive so as to prevent the spread of deadly Coronavirus pandemic in Jharkhand.

Their move comes at a time when the number of COVID-19 positive patients, as well as death toll, are rising by the day. The state government-run RIMS hospital in Ranchi was packed with COVID-19 patients even as health care staff, especially Lab Technicians who were contractual staff, were agitating to press their demand of pending salaries.
