The state government is gearing up to provide relief to migrant labourers from the police in Jharkhand.

This is evident from the draft of the document and notification to be signed by the Council of Ministers for the withdrawal of FIRs against them.

These FIRs were filed against migrant labourers by the state police in different places for violating the lockdown guidelines during the lockdown. 

Already, the CM Hemant Soren has approved this draft document. This process was initiated in accordance with the Supreme Court directive.

In all, 30 FIRs have been registered across the state against migrant laborers for lockdown violations. In these 204 labourers have been made accused. 

Of these FIRs registered against 32 laborers at Silli police station area of Ranchi;15 FIRs were registered in the different police station area of Lohardaga; 2 FIRs were registered in Simdega district, one FIR in Jamshedpur, 5 FIRs in Chaibasa, one FIR in Dumka, 4 FIRs in Sahibganj district and one FIR in Pakur district.
