At a time when many companies were going down in the market, the government of India’s nodal coal company  Coal India Ltd has shown upward trends.

The CIL has gained 3 per cent upward trend after it had registered a 7.1 per cent growth in coal output in August 2020 compared to the year-ago August 2019 period.

Even its stock has risen to around  2.95 per cent to Rs 137.45 on the BSE. On the NSE, it went advanced 3 per cent to Rs 137.50.

Investigations revealed that CIL has registered above 7.1 per cent growth in coal output at 37.17 million tonnes (MT) in August 2020 compared to August 2019 period.
