Baba Baidynath Mandir in Deoghar was flooded with devotees on Monday when they worshipped and offered holy water on the God Shiva.

Reports claimed that the devotees have gathered at the Baidyanath Mandir from different areas of Jharkhand and Bihar to offer holy water. Most of them were seen wearing masks.

Even Deoghar District administration had deployed police personnel who ensured that the Shiva devotees maintained social distancing. They were permitted to pour Argha(  oblation ) on a water body nearby.

 Baba Dham Mandir in Deoghar has shut after the imposition of the nationwide coronavirus lockdown on March 25, the Mandir was opened in September with a condition that only 200 devotees can enter into the baba Dham mandir in Deoghar. On October 11, it was opened for all. As a result, the number of visitors shot up a day later even as the number of coronavirus positive cases rose.
