Jharkhand Education Minister Jagannath Mahto was airlifted from Ranchi for his admission to a private hospital in Chennai. 

Mahto who has been critically affected by coronavirus was accompanied by Chennai-based hospital’s doctors who were invited by the state government led by Chief Minister Hemant Soren. 

The Ranchi district administration had prepared a “ green corridor” for his departure from MEDICA hospital in Bariatu to Birsa Munda Airport. The Coronavirus hit Minister followed the “green corridor” to reach the airport and board the flight for Chennai.
