Amid Coronavirus pandemic, Christmas will be celebrated calmly inside homes.There will be no community prayer,said Archbishop of Ranchi Felix Toppo who has been holding this prestigious post since 2018..

"Due to the Coronavirus pandemic,the whole world is suffering.The people are in trouble. Against this background, celebrate Christmas in a simple manner at home.Instead of pageantry, serve the poor people", said Archbishop Toppo.

Felix Toppo declared that this time he will celebrate Christmas with rickshaw pullers in Ranchi.On December 25, after Missa,a mass, ritual, lunch will be served after 12 noon at Loyola ground."Apart from rickshaw pullers,we will have lunch with poor and deprived people",said Archbishop. 

Moreover, due to coronavirus pandemic,no crowd gathering will be allowed on the day of Christmas.Even Virtual Missa(meaning online) will be held at 10.30 pm on December 24 night and On the Christmas day(December 25) online Missa will be held at 9.30 am,informed Archbishop. 

At a time of the pandemic,schools and colleges were under lock and key.The online education was being imparted.But in absence of resources,a huge population in both urban and rural areas was unable to get educated online.The Church in league with the state government will run coaching classes in villages, Felix Toppo informed. 

The coalition government of the Congress-RJD and the JMM has completing one year.Expressing dissatisfaction over it, Archbishop Felix Toppo said:"After days and months,not one Christian figure in the state Cabinet.The CM(Hemant Soren) should look into it immediately and ensure that a Christian representative finds seat in the Ministry.In all,there were 12 Christian MLAs in the ruling coalition,"he demanded.         

He raised concern over no appointment in Minority schools."No appointment was made during the past five years in Minority schools.This had upset the education process", Archbishop observed.
