As the new year dawned, the Indian Railways entered the 21st Century Group of World Railways.
How? The Western Railways successfully carried a trial run of a double stack and double rake goods train on the western dedicated freight corridor between Krishnagarh and Rewari.

The technical details of this double rake goods train which lookS majestic are as follows.First run of this 2x2 long haul double take goods train was under 2× 25 KV, 7.53 M high OHE by 2 × 12000 HHP Electrics at 100 KMPH in 300 KM route from Kishangarh to Rewari of WDFC. It commenced on January 5,2921.
With this the Indian Railways under Narendra Modi government’s modernisation plan to boost industrial development, has entered the 21st century Group of World Railways.
