Members of Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS )and Anganwadi workers are learnt to be working tirelessly in the battle against COVID19.

Starting from the identification of the infected patients at the village level to ensuring the availability of medicines, the Chief Minister's Relief Kit, they are involved in every activity and are serving as lifesavers at the village level.

CM Relief Kit is being provided to the needy villagers at the earliest. The Chief Minister is monitoring the entire process himself. To ensure smooth execution of the relief and survey process, Chief Executive Officer JSLPS, Nancy Sahay has been appointed as the Nodal Officer. Under the guidance of the Chief Minister Mr Hemant Soren, more than one lakh kits have been prepared so far.

*Kits reaching the needy*

The CM relief kits prepared by the members of JSLPS are being distributed through Anganwadi workers to the sick and needy people across the state. Initially, every Anganwadi worker is being provided with 10 kits for distribution among the infected covid patients.

There are 38,432 Anganwadi centres across the state. To meet the needs of every Anganwadis centre, 3,84,320 kits are to be made available for distribution. Given this, Kits are being prepared on a war footing.

*The task facilitated by didis of Sakhi Mandal*

The preparation of the CM Relief kit would not have been possible without the support of about 100 women members associated with JSLPS. As per the record of JSLPS, these women are packing 10 thousand kits every day.

Apart from this, the process of providing Ayurvedic, Homeopathic and Unani kits to the needy is also going on. To ensure the safety of the people of Jharkhand, many other initiatives are also being taken up. Keeping in view the seriousness of the situation there are also plans to provide basic health kits, in which common medicines such as paracetamol, zinc, vitamin C, vitamin D and iron tablets will be made available. With all these efforts, the government is working with a resolve to reach every household in every village.

Anganwadi workers and women of Sakhi Mandal of JSLPS are working hard and preparing kits to take Jharkhand out of this disaster. Our goal is to make the kits available to the needy villagers as soon as possible to prevent infection in rural areas, said Nancy Sahay, CEO, JSLPS.
