Whenever the Jharkhand Public Commission holds its next civil services examinations,it will come up with questions based on its new syllabus.

As per the new syllabus,the candidates will have to opt for a common paper in the priliminary test for which the optional paper was done away with,as per the new syllabus.

The draft of the new syllabus prepared by a committee headed by ex chief secretary VS Dubey is expected to get the nod by the state government soon.It was under consideration by the state Personnel Department right now.

The draft of the new syllabus has it that the main exam will have six papers.Apart from two papers under the head such as General Ability and General Studies,four other subjects are to be to be linked with history,geography,sociology,science,maths,Hindi and English.

While the first two subjects will be of 100 marks each,the rest four subjects will be of 200 marks each.This means that a candidate will have to participate in competitive papers of 1000 marks,instead of 1200 marks of papers being followed now.
