Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren suffered a set back today when the Jharkhand High Court declined to accept the appeal of the Jharkhand government to defer the hearing of the PILs against him.

The Advocate General of Jharkhand had filed a petition to seek an adjournment of hearing of these PILs.

The two PILs- one (4290/2021) is related to shell companies and another (727/2022) is connected with the CM gaining mining lease-are scheduled to be heard by the High court on June 17.
