Accepting the appeal of the Chief Minister Hemant Soren Jharkhand High Court today deferred the hearing of the two PILs against him and posted their hearing on June 23.

This has given time to the state government to prepare for presenting his case.The Jharkhand government  represented by advocate Piyush Chitresh had submitted that it’s counsels were not available on grounds of health.

The Enforcement Directorate and the CBI were represented by ASG SV Raju. 

Notably, the twin PILs 4290/2021 related to shell companies and 727/2022 related to the CM availing mining lease were filed by petitioner Shiv Shankar Sharma. He was represented by his lawyer Rajiv Kumar.
