He did not join hands. But Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s party man and Minister in Jharkhand Mithilesh Thakur represented him on Tuesday when he joined the Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in Sanwer.

As Yatra moved towards Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh, Thakur, joined it in Sanwer town in Indore district, Madhya Pradesh.Minutes later 

Mithilesh Thakur took to Twitter and wrote, 

"Today in Indore, participated in Bharat Jodo Yatra along with respected @RahulGandhi ji and conveyed the message of Honorable Chief Minister @HemantSorenJMM. Our country is unbroken. The designs of the divisive forces will never be fulfilled."

The JMM is leading a coalition government in alliance with the Congress and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) in Jharkhand.

The yatra, a mass contact programme of the Congress, will cover a distance of 380 km in the Malwa-Nimar region of western Madhya Pradesh in 12 days before entering Rajasthan on December 4, according to the programme announced by the Congress.
