A herd of wild elephants has trampled to death two villagers in Jharkhand.

The incident took place near Bisa village in Ranchi district on Friday evening.

The deceased were identified as Budhram and Sukra.Both were tribals.

Next of the kin of each deceased was paid Rs 25,000 as compensation.As per the law,the rest amount Rs 1.25 lakh will be paid to each of them soon,said DFO Rajiv Bakshi.
