Ahead of general elections and assembly elections in 2024, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren Thursday kick started his official tour in Garhwa.

Billed as Khatiyani Johar yatra, Soren is slated to land in district headquarter towns of Palamau, Gumla,Lohardaga, Godda and Deoghar on December 9,10,11,15 and 16 respectively.

However,CM is expected to celebrate Christmas and the new year 2023 in Ranchi, capital city of Jharkhand.

In the new year 2023, he is slated to cover nine districts. He is accompanied by his cabinet colleague and Minister Alamgir Alam who belongs to the Congress party and is a leader of Muslim community from near his own constituency in Santhal Pargana.

During his yatra, CM Soren is scheduled to review several development schemes of the state government. All departmental heads, DCs and SPs were directed to be present in meetings in all district headquarter towns.
