The suspended IAS officer Pooja Singhal who got interim bail from the Supreme Court in MNREGA and money laundering cases, came out of Birsa Munda jail in Ranchi on Wednesday.

After coming out of jail today, Singhal boarded a black car and landed in his official residence in Ranchi from where she is expected to fly to New Delhi tomorrow - Thursday.

Singhal was in jail for almost eight months. She has got interim bail for a period of one month.During this period, she was allowed to stay in Delhi/ NCR and she is not permitted to go out of this area.

She was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on charges of money laundering on May 11.After a long period of interrogation by the investigating agency sleuths, she was sent to jail on May 25.

On the basis of her plea that her daughter was ailing and needed monitoring, the top court granted her interim bail for one month on Tuesday.The SC is slated to hear her case on February 6.

Alongside, the ED sleuths were learnt to be keeping vigil on her movement and watching her activities including the persons who were meeting her.
