The  Ranchi Press club auditorium witnessed a day long event - Data Dialogue - in Ranchi today(January 11,2023).

Organised by Google News Initiative and DataLeads, it was participated by more than two dozen journalists and media professionals in capital city of Jharkhand.

The organisers’ aim was to empower journalists to act against misinformation. In pre and post lunch session, discussion in the form of lecture and question- answer.Their initiative was launched in July 2018 through a partnership between Google,Internews,DataLeads with technical and programmatic support from BoomLive and Alt. ews, First Draft and Storyful.

After the programme ended, a group photograph was taken by organisers. Later, they shared these pictures with participants on a WhatsApp group created by them for the event.

Subsequently, organisers sent a message saying this.

“We hope that you found the training session informative, useful, and worthwhile. The primary goal of this workshop was to bring together journalists, media educators, and journalism students under one roof and empower participants to unlock the powerful world of data journalism using the best of tools from Google and beyond so that they are able to find,verify and tell engaging stories and connect better with their audience.
