The Airport Authority of India has made it clear that three new airports were ready for flight operations in Jharkhand. These airports were in Bokaro, Jamshedpur, and Dumka.

“By the middle of June flight operations can begin from these newly built airports”, informed a senior AAI officer adding that flight operations from there can start before Durga Puja 2023.

Bokaro and Dumka may get flight services to Kolkata and Patna. In the coming week, AAI is slated to hold a meeting on the “ flight operation process”, it is learnt.

In another airport located in Deoghar, the night landing facility is going to be made operational soon. Also, from Deoghar airport, plan is afoot to start flights for Ranchi, Patna, Bengaluru, and Mumbai.
