A dream of Jharkhand is to witness high speed trains run on tracks in the state is going to become a reality. This is evident from the annual budget for 2023-24.

The railway projects proposed in this budget -2023-24 put focus on the speed of high speed trains and their corridors.

In the state of Jharkhand,36 rail projects were in the pipeline. Senior Railway authorities say all hurdles to running high-speed trains were cleared.
“Construction of new tracks, doubling of tracks, and so on revolve around starting 36 rail projects”, said a senior Railway officer.

These projects are to be implemented in Ranchi, Dhanbad, and Chakradharpur railway divisions. Toward this end,2,906 km long track construction work will take place.

The budget -2023-24 has proposed to sanction Rs 43,957 crore to take forward these railway development projects in Jharkhand.

These Railway authorities say the aim of the Railway ministry is to complete the implementation work of these railway projects before 2024-25.

After the track-making works get over, the high speed trains can be run in selected areas of the state including Ranchi, Jamshedpur, and Dhanbad.
