Centre has made a big step forward in strengthening infrastructure for defences forces in the country.

This is evident from this.The Defence Ministry on Thursday signed a Rs 2,585 crore contract for indigenous manufacturing of 41 sets of Modular Bridges, for Corps of Engineering of Indian Army.

These bridges have been designed and developed by DRDO and shall be built and produced by Larsen & Turbo as DRDO nominated production agency.

Notably,post 2014 period under dispensation of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi regime, as many as 100 such bridges have already been constructed on Indo- China border across Line of Actual Control.
