In a meeting of the Department Promotion Committee headed by Jharkhand Public Service Commission Chairman Dr. Mary Neelima Kerketta today, 261Junior Engineers were promoted to Assistant Engineers.

This is a major breakthrough in the careers of these engineers in the state government’s Road Construction Department in Jharkhand.
  
Their promotion was pending for months despite the fact that the Jharkhand High Court had passed umpteen orders as well as ordered to proceed with contempt of court proceedings against the Road Construction Department.
