*Justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra takes the oath of office of Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court.

Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan on Monday administered the oath of office to Sanjay Kumar Mishra as Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court inside Raj Bhawan in Ranchi.

Chief Justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra was a Judge of the Uttarakhand High Court. He had previously served as Acting Chief Justice of Uttarakhand High Court and Judge of Orissa High Court.

Born on December 29, 1961, in Balangir in Orissa. He is an alma mater of the University of Delhi. He has succeeded Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court Ravi Ranjan who retired on December 19.

After the Supreme Court Collegium sent a recommendation, the Central government appointed him to fill up the vacancy of CJ in the Jharkhand High Court.
