The IG of Rapid Action Force RN Mishra today disclosed that a plan is afoot to provide teeth to the forces by arming them with up graded version of non –lethal weapons.

RAF,set up to control riot operations,uses non –lethal weapons like chargeable baton during operation and now it plan to upgrade them by purchasing “upgraded version of chargeable baton, long range aquatic device, water mist fire-fighter system, portable laser dazzler and impact resistance shield”,said Misra while talking to media persons today.

“We have already recommended to the Union Home Ministry for purchase of these non-lethal weapons”,said Mishra in Jamshedpur where he was on a four –day visit to take part in functions to be organised by 106 Battalion of RAF.
