Even as clouds and drizzles had provided relief from the heat of summer in Jharkhand, one girl died due to lightning in Dhurva, Ranchi on Thursday.

The victim was identified as 13-year-old Ritika Munda who is a resident of the Indira colony. Two others were in a state of injury.

The pre-monsoon clouds and drizzles were predicted by the Meteorological department. Similar weather is going to continue till March 20.

Reports say that due to thunderstorms and squalls, a high-tension wire had got broken in Kafamdih in Jamshedpur causing the death to one 38- year old Chunnu Mahto.
