Jharkhand Assembly witnessed Opposition BJP leader CP Singh blasting the Hemant Soren government on the issues of corruption and crime.
Singh, former Speaker, and Minister described Hemant Soren's government as “ corrupt.” He said that under the umbrella of his government corruption has taken an organised form.

Even crime is committed in an organised way, BJP leader CP Singh said.

Giving details of crime data from January- December 2022, he said in the state there were as many as 10714 incidents of theft,1663 kidnappings,1769 murders, and 1611 rape among 64000 criminal cases.

With reference to the horrendous murder of a tribal lady police sub-inspector Sandhya Topno by cow smugglers last year, Ex-Minister CP Singh dubbed the Hemant Soren government as the government of “ cow slaughters’.

As per police records, on July 21, 2022, Sandhya Topno was engaged in a vehicle checking drive near Ranchi. She was mowed down by a pickup van allegedly involved in cattle smuggling.

Topno, a 32-year-old brave police officer, was knocked down by a speeding vehicle carrying cattle. This shocking incident was picked up by BJP leader CP Singh to hit the Soren government leaving all lawmakers to turn speechless.

Giving another example, BJP leader Singh alleged that in Palamau CM Hemant Soren had conveyed to the police that the vehicles of cow smugglers have not to be “ stopped.” He said: “ If the Mukhiya of the state issues this kind of directive, nobody knows how many Sandhya Topnos will be killed.

BJP leader Singh cited yet another example of the incidence of communal violence in Ranchi on June 10, 2022.” Even this incident was the result of organised crime. Due to the firing, two persons were injured.

“The face of those who had indulged in stone pelting and attack on people and the police personnel was visible on videos. In spite of this, only 38 persons were arrested. Worse, the accused was taken out of state by air ambulance. I don’t think it is wrong, but the same service should be provided to other citizens too”, said BJP leader CP Singh on the floor of the Assembly.
