Preliminary enquiry revealed that nearly 80 percent of applications filed for jobs in the Jharkhand circle of the Postal department, the government of India, carried fake certificates. One person identified as Manoj Mishra was arrested in Odisha.

The arrested person has admitted that he was responsible for the scam in many areas of Jharkhand and Odisha.

Now a team of Odisha police is expected to come to Jharkhand to examine the authenticity of applications filed by candidates for jobs in the postal department.” A gang was suspected to be involved in the job scam”, said a police officer in Jamshedpur.
