PFI is under scanner of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for long. Today,ED conducted raids in several places in Bihar as part of its crackdown on Islamist organisation Popular Front of India 

PFI is banned by the Union Home Ministry in 2022.

PTI reports that “one of these raids took place in Muzaffarpur district where an NIA team, assisted by the local police, raided the house of one Mohammad Saquib in Ankhauli village of Katra block.”

Despite efforts to gain details of the raids,the officials declined to respond. However, PTI quoted the father of Saquib, Neyaz Ahmed, saying this.

report claims that the raid had began around 5 am and continued for a few hours. "They had come to inquire about my son. We told them that we have had no contact with him for about the past one year."
