Two central investigating agencies ED and Income Tax have jointly launched raids at several premises in the state capital of Jharkhand on Wednesday morning.

The ED raids were conducted in Morahabadi, Khel Gaon, Booti More, and Ratu. The raids were being conducted on the basis of documents and electric and digital devices gathered from the premise of “ middle man Shekhar Kushwaha in connection with the sale and purchase of 4.83 acres of land near Cheshire home in Ranchi on the basis of fake documents, it is learnt.

Alongside, the IT sleuths were conducting raids at different places. These raids were part of the IT’s nationwide raids in 50 places across the country including Ranchi, Patna, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata in connection with the case of tax evasion of crores of rupees indulged in by Manikaran Power.
