As CM Hemant Soren today inaugurated Tata Cancer Hospital in outskirts of Ranchi near Kanke, Jharkhand gained a world-class 82- bed hospital with Outpatient Department ( OPD).

It is set to become lifeline for cancer patients especially tribals in the state.

The foundation stone of this hospital spread over 25 acres of green land was laid jointly by Ratan Tata and BJP leader and ex CM Raghubar Das on November 10,2018.

The OPD and indoor treatment had started in October 2022.It’s a joint initiative of the Ranchi Cancer Care Foundation (RCCF) and the Alamelu Charitable Foundation (ACF).

It is tstate-of-the-art cancer hospital. It is supported by Tata Trusts and provides a range of cancer treatment services – from diagnosis, treatment and management to palliative and post-surgical care –delivered by teams of experienced and trained medical professionals.

This new cancer care centre in Ranchi will provide services such as 

  1. Affordable, high-quality and compassionate care to all patients
  2. Standardisation of treatment and care procedures that are best-in-class
  3. Health insurance schemes and other financial aid for those who cannot afford treatment and aftercare due to financial constraints
  4. Regular outreach initiatives to increase awareness and promote screening for early detection, ensuring timely treatment to those in need
  5. Training and hands-on experience to medical professionals to further enhance their skills and knowledge
