ED sleuths are grilling Jharkhand High Court lawyer Himanshu Kumar in reference to the land occupied by the military, reports indicate.

Kumar is accused of creating Jayant Karnad entitled to lease for the land occupied by the military with the assistance of flawed paperwork and taking a big part of the plot obtained from the sale of the land.

Throughout the investigation of the case, the ED had summoned Jayant Karnad for questioning. 

The ED had demanded paperwork associated with the possession of the land occupied by the military from Karnad. However, he was unable to provide the paperwork to the ED. Within the assertion given to ED, he mentioned that each one of the papers are with the lawyer Himanshu Kumar Mehta.

Toward the same end, ED summoned him and is learnt to be evading replying to his involvement in the Army land scam.

ED discovered within the investigation that after getting the appropriate to gather lease on the fee of Rs 471, the land occupied by the military was offered to 14 folks with the assistance of 16 sale deeds from Jayant. Karnad obtained Rs 2.55 crore for promoting the land. Out of this Rs 1.20 crore was taken by advocate Himanshu Kumar Mehta. Whereas, different folks took 9 lakh rupees.
