Almost 15 Raj Bhawan workers were sacked with effect from June 30, 2023.

They were daily wage workers, cleaning floors of the Raj Bhawan, planting saplings, watering, and looking after the greenery of the Raj Bhawan, have been sacked by Raj Bhawan bosses, revealed official order issued by the Secretariat of the Governor, Jharkhand.

Most of these sacked daily wage workers were poor Adivadis and OBCs. They were appointed from 2015 to 2021 when the Governor of Jharkhand  Droupadi Murmu, who is now the President of India, was at the helm of affairs.

To sack these 15 Raj Bhawan workers has taken place under the reign of Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan who took charge of this prestigious office on February 18, 2023.

“We are starving”, says a sacked staff echoing the sentiments of others who were moving from pillar to post to get a job.
