Investigations revealed that two bike riders  Bobby Khan had opened fire against a joint team of Anti- Terrorism Squad( ATS)and Ramgarh police causing bullet injuries to a Deputy Superintendent rank officer of ATS and a sub-inspector of Ramgarh district police on Monday night. 

DySP Neeraj Kumar, who received a bullet injury in his stomach and sub inspector Sonu Saw, who was shot in his thigh, were undergoing treatment at Medica Super Speciality hospital in Ranchi. 

Bobby Khan and his associate belong to veteran gangster Aman Sahu who is in jail and carries crime from inside its high walls.Following directive by the police headquarter, ATS and police had launched operation against criminals.

Toward the same end,a team led by ATS Deputy SP Neeraj was conducting raids against an organised gang. On Monday afternoon, the ATS team detained some people of the Aman Sahu gang and interrogated them. In this, the team got information about Bobby Khan of the gang.

Soon, a joint team of ATS and Ramgarh police went out to arrest Bobby Khan. The police reached near Dadidih Sarna High School in Khairmsnjhi Desr Khelari road under Patratu police station in Ramgarh district where they spotted Bobby Khan and his associate moving by a bike. 

Before the team of Neeraj could nab them, Khan opened indiscriminate firing. Neeraj and a sub-inspector of Rajrappa police station have been injured. They are under treatment. Both are stable,” AV Homkar, inspector general (Operations), Jharkhand Police told media persons.

Bobby Khan is still beyond the reach of law enforcing agencies in Jharkhand.
