Bihar is trying to save the life of a kid, a three-year-old child. This child had fallen into a 40-foot deep borewell while playing in Kul village of Bihar's Nalanda on Sunday.

Now a rescue operation has been initiated and NDRF and other rescue teams are on the spot to save the child.

Shubham Kumar, 3, was playing near an open borewell being dug by a farmer for boring. But it didn't succeed, so the farmer started boring in another place and this borewell was not closed, Nalin Maurya, vice president of Nalanda Nagar panchayat told media persons.

Reports say JCB machines have been deployed to supply the oxygen and rescue the child from the bore.

Dinesh Kumar Singh, police station in-charge said that the senior officer has been informed about the incident and many officials of Parsottam reached the spot.
