Against rain deficiency of 38 percent, Jharkhand has received 398.3 mm rain in comparison to  expected  638.9 mm rain in the current monsoon season till now.

In view of the cyclonic circulation,the coming three-four days in Ranchi and adjoining areas are expected to witness medium to mild rains in different parts of Jharkhand, according the Metereological Department prediction. 

The monsoonal rain can greet the Independence Day in Ranchi, said the MED.

Since monsoon had weakened, its reemergence on Sunday- Monday has generated hope among farmers. Many of these farmers have indulged in paddy sowing and desire heavy rains to grow them in at least low lying field ( called Tanr) in Jharkhand.
