As the nation celebrates its 77th Independence Day 2023, the nation with 140 million people was lit up.

While people exchanged wishes for the bright future of the country, PM Narendra Modi hoisted the National Flag at the historic Red Fort on August 15, 2023.

Modi scripted history by equalling his immediate predecessor Manmohan Singh's record of hoisting the Tricolour for straight 10 times.

During his speech, PM Modi inspired and motivated people by promising to uplift India from the 10th largest economy in the world to the 5th and now 3rd largest economy in the world. This has generated hope among the people.

Even in backward states such as Jharkhand where CM Hemant Soren unfurled the national flag at Morahabadi maidan in Ranchi, spoke about the pro-people works he had started and conveyed to people that he has been busy marching ahead on the path of development. While these leaders spoke, many people clapped.

However, there were pictures shared by conscientious citizens showing children of poor families were not behind holding and or saluting the tricolor flags in towns and villages. JharkhandStateNews.com picked up three pictures shared by friends on WhatsApp.

These pictures tell another story for leaders of all hues, cutting across party lines, to take note of the larger interest in the poverty-ridden ecosystem, deprivation, population explosion, and lack of civic sense among people in both rural and urban zones of India. Jai Hind!
