After she committed suicide, her parents are yet to reach Kota. She is another coaching student from Ranchi who had committed suicide by hanging himself in Kota. The student had come to this hostel only five months ago. The body has been kept in the postmortem room. 

The police are investigating the case. ASI Amar Kumar of Vigyan Nagar police station said that Richa Sinha (16), originally from Ranchi, Jharkhand, was preparing for NEET from a coaching center while staying in Kota. It was only in May that she came to stay in the hostel located at the Electronic Complex. 

Late on Tuesday night, police received information from a private hospital in Talwandi that a student had hanged herself, who was brought to the hospital and declared dead. 

After the information, police reached the spot. Police reached the spot, inspected it and got the body shifted to the postmortem room. According to the police, initial information revealed that the student had not come out of her room since late evening.  

Fellow students tried to call her but there was no response, after which they informed the hostel operator, he reached the spot and broke the door and looked inside to find the girl hanging. 

According to the police, the family members have been informed and they are investigating the matter.
